High Ropes & Low Challenge Courses

We are committed to building Godly character through outdoor adventure.  The High Ropes course is a valuable tool for ministry to Teens and Adults. Completed in the spring of 1999, the course features six unique elements, each presenting a different kind of challenge to participants. These include the: Vinewalk, Lord's Steps, Narrow Beam, Vertical Playpen, Sky Walk, Leap of Faith, Bridge of the Redeemed, and 285 foot Zipline.

With each element 30-35 feet above ground, perceived danger creates an atmosphere where "walking by faith" becomes very real.  Participants wear helmets and harnesses attached to a safety line known as a belay.  The other end of that belay line is attached to their partner who eliminates slack in the line and applies a brake in the event of a fall--an arrangement requiring trust and teamwork for success.

To make it through each element will require faith in the equipment, the facilitator, and teammates.  Each participant is asked to move beyond their perceived limits to achieve more than they thought possible--through faith, effort, and encouragement from others.  At the start of each element are Bible verses that speak of faith, trust, and a loving relationship with God.

Minimum age: 12 years old for all element of the high ropes course except age 16 for Leap of Faith and age 11 for the zipline.

Restrictions:  Individuals with a history of cardiovascular disease, back problems, or pregnant women are prohibited from participating in High Ropes Course elements.
