Summer Volunteers
Special Needs Volunteers
We have many children with special needs who attend Camp each summer. Some of those needs include ADHD, hearing impairments, mental impairments, behavior disorders, down syndrome, autism/asperger syndrome, and physical disabilities that require accommodation. Responsibilities include providing 1 on 1 attention and making sure that the camper is functioning as well as being part of the group. Must be 18 or older.
Volunteer Camp Counselors
Counselors have primary responsibilities for the nurture, safety, and overall experience of their assigned campers. Counselors may work with Special Needs Kids, Day Campers, Horsemanship Campers, and Resident Campers. Must be 18 or older.
Year Round Volunteers
Therapeutic Side Walkers
Camp Berachah relies on dedicated volunteers to assist with our therapeutic & hippo-therapy riding program for special needs students. Volunteer side walkers help aide the safety of the student during their lesson by ensuring they stay balanced on the saddle while riding. The volunteer must be in good health; able to walk long distances and be comfortable working around horses and special needs children or adults. Must be 14 or older.
Workampers
RV Workampers can volunteer in areas such as: maintenance, security, stores, kitchen, office and house keeping. Volunteer 16 hours per week in exchange for RV space, full hookup and meals. Interested applicants should complete an online application from our website.
Work Crews
Every year Camp Berachah Ministries relies on church groups & business groups to volunteer their time for worthy work projects. These volunteers help ready our camp facilities for a summer of ministry to kids & adults of all ages. Work crews help with grounds work, painting, cleaning and building projects.
